Chelsea Football Club are an English football club based in west London. Founded in 1905, they play in the Premier League and have spent most of their history in the top tier of English football. Chelsea have been English champions four times, FA Cup winners seven times and League Cup winners four times. They have also been successful in Europe, winning the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup twice and UEFA Champions League winners once.
The club had their first major success in 1955, when they won the league championship. Chelsea won several cup competitions during the 1960s and 1970s, but after that did not win another major title until 1997. The past decade has been the most successful period in Chelsea’s history, capped by winning Premier League titles in 2005, 2006 and 2010, and reaching their first UEFA Champions League final in 2008. Then winning the UEFA Champions League in the 2012 final in Germany beating Bayern Munich on their home turf on penalty's!
The club's home is the 41,841 capacity Stamford Bridge football stadium and Chelsea's regular kit colours are royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks.

Stamford Bridge is the most central of the London football stadiums and is easily accessible by tube or bus from the centre of the city. Paid for parking is available on non-matchdays only. On matchdays limited parking is available in surrounding streets and resident restricions do apply Monday - Saturday.
From The North, East or West:
Use the M25 to Junction 15 and turn off onto the M4 towards London. Follow the M4 which becomes the A4 up to Hammersmith. Go over the Hammersmith Flyover and a further 1.5 miles before turning off for Earls Court. Go past Earls Court station and across Old Brompton Road, eventually reaching Fulham Road. Turn right at the traffic lights. After 600 yards, the ground is on the right. Parking is difficult very close to the ground.
From The South:
Cross the river at Wandsworth Bridge and head up Wandsworth Bridge Road. At the junction with New King's Road, turn right and then immediately left. This will take you up to Fulham Broadway. Tturn right onto Fulham Road and the ground is 400 yards on the left. Parking is difficult very close to the ground.
By Train
The nearest tube station is Fulham Broadway on the District Line. Take a train to Earls Court and change for Wimbledon-bound trains.
By River Boat
River Boats run Monday to Friday. The closest pier to stamford bridge is Chelsea Harbour, boats that stop at this pier run between Putney Pier and Blackfriars Pier. The latest eastbound boat arrives at Chelsea Harbour around 6.20pm. The latest westbound boat arrives at 7.35pm.
Pubs : Chelsea reputedly has the largest number of pubs within a mile radius of the ground so there's plenty of choice. The ones immediately opposite the ground can be very crowded.
